Early spring calf
This morning Lily joined our herd of Ruby Red cows. Ben found her this morning snuggled in the hedge just a few hours old and our son Piran, given the job of naming her, decided to carry on the flower theme. New, first time mum Poppy needed a bit of encouragement to recognise her new calf but now cow and calf have been moved to a more sheltered field and Lily is suckling well.
